Software Quality Assurance Supervisor

General Description:

• Supervises the activities of a software quality assurance function.
• Develops quality standards for company products and oversees the development and execution of software test plans and analysis of test results.
• Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function.
• Provides direction to the employees according to established policies and management guidance.
• Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees.
• Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, Masters preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years related experience. Minimum 3 years prior management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience working on an Agile development team and a thorough understanding of Agile development principals required.
• Experience using automation tools such as QTP, FIT, Fitness or Selenium required.
• Experience with test first (TDD) techniques preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously; ability to delegate work to subordinate employees; proven leadership ability.
• Highly creative problem solving skills. Very collaborative as to be able to effectively manage cross cultural diversity.
